Today, you’ll hop on another scenic train, destined for the fashion capital of Italy: Milan (you’ll have one change). Upon arrival, check in and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 3: Milan

Make the most of a full day to explore Milan at your own pace. Why not check out the glorious Duomo and its esteemed neighbour, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, home to a plethora of designer labels? For something a little different, Cimitero Monumentale di Milano is packed with fantastically ornate tombs that are well worth a visit. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 4: Milan - Genoa, Italy

You’ll head southwest today to the pretty southwest port city of Genoa. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 5: Genoa

After enjoying a day exploring Genoa at your own pace, you’ll board the MSC cruise at Genoa port in the early evening. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 6: Civitavecchia, Italy

Your first stop on the cruise is Civitavecchia, the coastal town northwest of Rome, with an intriguing second-century port. You can explore the ancient ruins and head to the museum a little inland. (Meals: full board or all-inclusive)

It’s onto Sardinia, with a day in its capital. Cagliari is home to the hilltop Castello, a medieval walled quarter with far-reaching views. (Meals: full board or all-inclusive)

Day 9: Palma de Mallorca, Spain

Another day, another picturesque island; this time, you’ll grace the beaches of Palma de Mallorca. (Meals: full board or all-inclusive)
