A spellbinding getaway to Cambodia, Vietnam’s capital city, scenic Lan Ha Bay and a laid-back Luang Prabang - all travel and plenty of perks included

Days 1-4: Siem Reap, Cambodia

Steeped in history, Siem Reap is one of Southeast Asia’s most fascinating cities, and home to the famed Angkor Wat temple complex, a world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend your days at leisure, perhaps visiting the area's star attraction as well as the countless surrounding Khmer ruins that make up Angkor Archeological Park. Siem Reap's town centre offers an alternative to temple-touring, with its tightly clustered bars, socially-conscious boutiques, cafes and market stalls.

Days 4-6: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Like Siem Reap, Phnom Penh brims with history. Spend the day at leisure here, discovering the local attractions - from the Royal Palace, located a 10-minute drive away, to the National Museum of Cambodia which is an excellent option for history buffs keen on learning about the country’s storied past. Phnom Penh is more than a city of museums - trendy cafes, high end bars and modern restaurants dot the city, giving you plenty of options to unwind between landmarks.

Days 6-9: Da Nang, Vietnam

For an introduction to a softer side of Vietnam, you can do no better than the endless white-sand shores of the beachfront city of Da Nang. While spending your days sunbathing on the pale sands is an attractive prospect, be sure to block out some time to visit Hoi An and its charming Ancient City - a UNESCO World Heritage site peppered with glowing red lanterns and beautifully preserved timber-frame buildings. Located a 20-minute drive away, the town is easily explored on foot. Bookend your jaunts through the city with stops at the many waterfront cafes serving strong cups of rich, milky Vietnamese coffee.

Days 9-11 & 12-13: Hanoi, Vietnam

Vietnam’s vibrant capital is home to sensational culinary traditions, intriguing museums and charming colonial architecture. Explore tree-lined boulevards, colonial mansions and the grandeur of Hanoi's monumental Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from your boutique base in the French Quarter, pausing for banh mi and rich local coffee. The iconic Hanoi Opera House, Hoan Kiem Lake and the Night Market are all within five minutes’ walk from your hotel.

Days 11-12: Lan Ha Bay, Vietnam

After your first stay in Hanoi, you’ll head off on the greatest adventure of your trip. Set sail through beautiful Lan Ha Bay, a less-crowded alternative to neighbouring Halong Bay, spending two days and one night aboard a luxurious V’Spirit Premier Cruises ship. While on board, you can choose to explore Lan Ha Bay’s stunning limestone islands, white-sand beaches, mysterious caves and sparkling waters with activities like kayaking and swimming, try your hand at squid fishing, marvel at the awe-inspiring Sung Sot Cave and hike to Titov island for panoramic views.

Days 13-16: Luang Prabang, Laos

While many of Southeast Asia’s cities are a cacophony of noise and activity, laid-back Luang Prabang has an altogether more serene character. Located beside the mighty Mekong River, this former royal capital is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and often said to be the best-preserved city on the continent. In addition to its magnificent temples, the city also has a vibrant street food culture. Tucked away just off Sisavangvong Road lies a narrow street lined with countless street food stalls selling iconic Laotian dishes.
